Mr. Raymond Li, Senior Vice President of Aspac Developments, welcomes the 2014 Olympic Winter Games figure skating double silver medallist Patrick Chan to join Aspac Club as the first Honorary Member.

Richmond BC – Aspac Developments is proud to welcome Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan as the first ‘Honorary Member’ of the Aspac Club. The Olympic Silver Medallist was given the honour at an event held at the Richmond Olympic Oval on May 14, 2014. Senior Vice President Raymond Li was on hand to present Chan with his membership and an Aspac Club jacket.

The event was a resounding success as media and fans welcomed Patrick Chan to British Columbia for the first time since the Sochi Olympics. It was also an exclusive first for members of the newly created ‘Aspac Club’. Current Aspac homeowners came down to the Oval for an intimate meet and greet with our Canadian Olympian. Aspac Club members also had the opportunity to receive autographs and have their picture taken with Chan. Ten lucky winners of a draw walked away with tickets to ‘Stars on Ice’ to see Chan perform with this touring show.

Patrick Chan graciously took to the ice with eight young members of the Kerrisdale Figure Skating Club. For them, it was an once-in-a-lifetime chance to skate with their hero. Chan shared his encouragement and coached these skaters as they demonstrated their skating talents. Afterwards, the skaters presented him with a huge thank you card.

For Aspac Developments, giving back to the community is important. This event was designed to raise funds for the Richmond Hospital Foundation. An eBay auction was held for an autographed replica of Chan’s Short Program outfit during the Sochi Olympic. Over the course of Patrick Chan’s visit, $12,160 was raised for the Foundation.
