Aspac Developments Ltd., donated $30,000 to the Richmond Hospital Foundation on Sept. 8, 2016 during the Community Cares Month Launch Party at the 2 River Green Presentation Centre.
As this year’s Celebration Launch Sponsor, Aspac generously donated towards the ‘Music Heals’ Program at the Richmond Hospital that provides Music Therapy for patients and residents.
The Launch Party was part of Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Community Cares Month Celebration – a series of September events and promotions in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin uniting members of Richmond’s diverse community for a common cause – to improve patient health care at Richmond Hospital. Last year more than $380,000 was donated during September that has helped to ensure the best local health care.
“Over the past few years, Aspac Developments has been an important partner with the Richmond Hospital Foundation and we are pleased to continue showing our support,” said Raymond Li, Senior Vice President, Aspac Developments Ltd. “The Richmond Hospital offers such good medical care and at Aspac, we are building world-class communities and committed to giving back.”
Since the first phase of the River Green Development was launched in 2010, Aspac has taken a leadership role in the community, demonstrating its long-term commitment to the people of Richmond. Aspac’s $30,000 Richmond Hospital Foundation donation was part of a larger month of giving that helped:
• Mental Health and Substance Use Services – to develop educational tools and resources and further embed a Patient and Family Centred Care model into the practice of every Mental Health and Substance Use Team in Richmond.
• Vital patient care programs including: Palliative Care, Mental Health, the Transitional Care Unit, Residential Care, and Music Therapy.
• Integrated Palliative Program – to enhance its model of end of life care effectively to meet the needs of the Richmond community.
One of Aspac’s many Richmond Hospital Fundraising initiatives has also included the sponsorship of the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Golf Tournament over the past six years. Last year, Aspac was also presented with the 2015 Community Cares Award in recognition of its philanthropic leadership in the community over the years.
