As event sponsor of the 10th Annual Winter Wonderland festival, the Aspac Developments team attended the Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 27, 2010 together with many Councillors and community leaders in the City.

Winter Wonderland is organized by the Richmond Sunset Rotary Club, and proceeds from this year’s event will benefit various Richmond programs and initiatives.

Following the speeches made by Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Councillors, Ms. Karen Tung of Aspac Developments, and key sponsors, guests were invited to join the Rotary Club members and the Richmond Chorus for some Christmas carolling, accompanied by the talented Mayor Brodie on the piano.

The tree lighting ceremony marked the start of the display of 30 beautifully decorated trees supported by local businesses located on the main floor of Richmond City Hall. The public can visit city hall to vote for the “Best Looking Tree” between now and December 31.

Aspac invited children of the Boys and Girls Club of Delta / Richmond to design and make unique ornaments for the sponsored tree. By doing so, children can learn first-hand that every small step can make a difference in the community. In return for their efforts, Aspac donated art supplies and a snack party to the children of the program at Cook and Anderson Elementary schools in Richmond.

Aspac is heavily involved with building communities. As one of Vancouver’s top developers of master-planned communities, Aspac will be building the River Green neighbourhood in Richmond over the next 15 years.
