Ms. Karen Tung and Mr. John Ryan of Aspac Developments present a cheque to Magdelen Leung of the Richmond Sunset Rotary Club with Mayor Malcolm Brodie.

The 10th Annual Winter Wonderland festival, organized by the Richmond Sunset Rotary Club, is focusing on various programmes this year benefiting Richmond community as well as the Refilwe community in South Africa.

As the Event Sponsor for the second year, Ms. Karen Tung and Mr. John Ryan of Aspac Developments attended the festival announcement at the Richmond City Chambers on October 20, 2010.

After the speeches of Mayor Malcolm Brodie, the event organizer, and representatives of the recipient organizations, Ms. Tung and Mr. Ryan presented Mrs. Magdalen Leung of the Richmond Sunset Rotary Club with a $10,000 donation.

This year, the funds are going towards several much-needed projects in the local community including: the renovation of the emergency area at the Richmond General Hospital; support for the Arts through the Gateway Theatre; providing funding for the Richmond Caring Place; support for the Rick Hansen Richmond Accessibility Fund, the continuation of the International Refilwe Project, and more.

During her speech, Ms. Tung re-iterates: “Aspac Developments doesn’t only build homes, we build communities. We are proud to be building the community of River Green in Richmond and supporting the residents here as well as the people in Refilwe”.
